Michael Thornton is the Mortgage and Insurance Adviser in Hampshire for 1st Call 4 Mortgages (UK) Ltd.
Mike has been involved in financial services since 1995, except the time that he was elected as the Liberal Democrat Member of Parliament for Eastleigh in the by-election of February 2013, which he held until the 2015 General Election.
Prior to becoming an MP, Mike’s life was in Financial Services, as a mortgage and insurance adviser, an Independent Financial Adviser, training manager for insurance companies and positions as a bank manager.
The son of Sir Peter Thornton, Mike grew up in Farnham, Surrey and was educated at Charterhouse School, before reading law at Manchester Polytechnic. As a younger man, Mike had a range of jobs, including spells in the United States (his mother is from Tennessee), before the world of finance beckoned him.
He has lived in Bishopstoke, Eastleigh since 1994, and served as a parish councillor in Bishopstoke and a borough councillor in Eastleigh.
Des and Paul, the Directors of 1st Call 4 Mortgages (UK) Ltd, were delighted that Mike agreed to join their Company in August 2015, and welcome him back into the world of finance, to help people achieve their property ambitions, and ensuring they keep their homes, whatever life may deal them.
